Monkey Bar in Berlin

I love Monkey Bar. The drinks are amazing, so is the decor and the terrace. The view is outstanding and is the perfect place to chill out after a day of work, or even during the afternoon. Unfortunately there are often long queues to enter so I invite you to be patient. It’s worth it! Staff is very nice and friendly and once you are there the atmosphere is very cool.

Great for drinks and atmosphere, very nice view. A bit pricey. Non-alcoholic drinks are very sparse, especially cocktails (there were only 2, both pretty strange). Very limited food/snack options, so it’s definitely more of a pure bar where you go for drinks only. Staff is very friendly. There are outside sitting options (those have the best view for sure!)

Amazing service, great place for a few drinks and TOBY is an amazing guy would 100% come back and say hello again he made us feel so welcome, Someone give him a raise

Love a good rooftop bar. This is the classic 25 hour hotel quality, hence good quality. Made me feel home. Vodka soda on fleek. Good drink size, fancy waiters. Will be back for sure!

Very nice view from the top, the bar is also nice and cozy with terrace, great cocktails and they even have their own restaurant so it can be eaten. Interesting place, worth a visit.

Good cocktails, the waiter was a bit rude. Very nice view from the balcony. You do have to sign up now with Corona and all and wear a mask every time you are not seated at your table. Somewhat on the expensive side.

Great cocktails, but horrible and unfriendly customer service. We had to wait 2 hours in line to get on the roof top + when it took 30 minutes to get a drink and we decided to cancel it we were told by a very rude member of staff to “just pay and leave”. He probably had a bad day, but you can never be allowed to have a “bad day” when it comes to customer service. I would recommend to go somewhere else.

Short version: overrated and overpriced. The cocktails are very expensive for Berlin and they didn't even try to make it look special. Just served flat in a basic glass. The waiters are walking around like robots and the place is full of wannabe-rich-kids.

Waiting time 1hr 30min.

All the way from Amsterdam we were very excited to try the cocktails. We came on a Tuesday at 0:25 but couldn’t get in any more. The host said that if we can in we, after ordering, would have less than 5 minutes to finish our cocktail so it was no use. Bit of a disappointment because opening hours said 14:00 -2:00. But she wouldn’t let us in because the place was full. While talking 2 groups of 4 people left the bar. But still no entrance for us.

Drinks and the view were really good, but the service was very unfriendly and unmotivated. The waiter did basically not speak to us and was quite rude, but still was actively asking for a tip.

Since January/February this year just bad... what happened?? The location deserves 5 stars but the service is too bad, unfriendly and unprofessional. Also waiting time was way too long even it wasn’t too busy. We left without drinks after more than 30 minutes.

Half hour after ordering drinks they still hadn't come. Service in general was awful. The vibe is great but the rest was extremely dissapponting.

Very bad experience they put the non smoker people out side and the smoker inside even if you find table outside they told you there is someone coming And i wait my turn almost 2 hours outside and then when i join i found people they said that they are going to restaurant but i found them in the bar

The location is overrun with tourists and the service is so-so. Seems some waiters don't like the work. Some cocktails are alright but don't order an old fashioned. The first was sweeter than a coke but rather than doing it new they just topped it of with bourbon. Which just ruined the whole drink. The view is nice though and the music is fitting.

SERVICE: 1 STAR. arrogant as fk, rude waiter and terrible waiting times, they could earn much more money if the would adapt the system. if you ask why it is taking so long you get a unfriendly and harsh response. LOCATION / VIEW: deserves 5 stars COCKTAILS: 4 stars, nice choice and well made, price is fine. if this where a place for locals or people who return they would be shut down already.

Very nice and relaxing place with an awesome panoramic view of Tiergarten park and west Berlin.

I live in Berlin 3years and this is the worst experience in here. I just really don't know why people are all wait in outside but they let white people come early we must to wait in there. you know that is so cold weather but they still let us sitting outside.So arrogant waiters. I will never ever coming here again.

Nice bar on the roof of a skyscraper, fantastic views and good cocktails but with high prices. The bar is of a high standard, with high prices. Unfortunately, the aperitif is ruined by the rudeness and shamelessness of the staff. It is very rude the guy who manages the queue on the ground floor. We forgot our masks and he verbally assaulted us with an arrogant lecture. The waiter on the terrace was rude, he kicked the tables and chairs and threw a chair at my girlfriend. When he disinfected the tables, rightly so, he threw all the spray on us. I recommend the bar for the view of the city, but I advise the managers to change the attitude of their employees. That's too bad.

Queue was ridiculous! Unimpressive once you get in. Seen better city views. The place wasn't full. Queue is only there to make it look busy.

3 stars only because of the view. The cocktails are good if nothing special, as are the bar snacks. Service is amongst the worst I've received in cocktail bars throughout my travels and I've been here 3 times on seperate visits so can vouch for it being consistently bad. I also manage bars as a profession and the operational system they have in place for ordering also leaves a lot to be desired. There are plenty of better intimate speakeasy-type bars in Berlin where the service is second to none if you want a rewarding experience. Green door, Victoria, Galander, Salut!... to name a few.

I am very disappointed in the guy at the reception. I have been coming here multiple times and have enjoyed my stay. However when I tried to come here this time an incredibly rude desk clerk answered my request to have a table with “you’re gonna have to wait at least 30 minutes” and smiled with a disapproving smile. I asked if there was a reservation system. He said that no we just needed to wait. I asked if there was an opportunity to sit down. No there was none. He added sitting anywhere else would lose our alleged place in line. He made us feel very uncomfortable and was just rude and unprofessional. I am very disappointed.

Yesterday I went to Monkey bar with some friends. The experience was not the expected from the very beginning. We were a group of 6 people and before entering we had to queue due to the current situation. We were told that we could not enter the six together because there were no free spots for us and as maximum we could be 4. Two of my friends went home so that we could enter. Then inside we realize that there was free place for us six and it made no sense that my friends had to go home. Afterwards we asked for a place in the terrace and at that moment it was full so we were asked to stay inside, we said that that we would not mind waiting. We had not even got our drinks when a couple of tables outside were free again. I asked several times (more or less 4 times) to the responsible of the terrace and he did not allow me to change my table even when there were free places. He was truly disrespectful with his way of treating and answering us. Zero attention to the client. Besides people that were arriving later than us got better spots. As for the drinks they took a year to bring them and a friend of mine had to ask for its drink several times. But the worst part is that went I paid the overcharged me. My drink was 12,5€ and the waitress charged me 13€ without telling me anything or asking if I wanted to tip them, what I obviously didn't want due to the attention received. Definetly I am not coming back and I would say that there are better terraces in Berlin.
